托福写作常见语法错误有哪些?

在托福写作的时候，一些语法上的小错误我们要尽量去避免，不然再好的一篇文章也拿不了高分。今天小编就给大家讲讲托福写作中常见的语法错误：

1、句子不完整

英文中完整的句子结构包括：

S+V(主+谓)

S+V+O(主+谓+宾)

S+V+P(主+系+表)

S+V+IO+DO(主+谓+间宾+直宾)

S+V+DO+OC(主+谓+宾+宾补)

如果缺少了主语、谓语、或宾语等成分，句子就不完整。

错误示范

In America has a lot of top universities.

这个句子中in America是状语，has前并没有主语成分。

正确修改

America has a lot of top universities.

In America, there are a lot of top universities.

句子比较短，这种小问题检查一下很容易避免。但如果句子长了，添加了很多修饰语，丢失主语或谓语的情况会比较常见。

2、缺少连词

有些同学把两个或两个以上的独立句子，不加连接词或使用逗号形式把他们连接在一起，属于run-on sentence。

错误示范

John has a lot of troubles in his life, he remains positive.

这句话想说John是一个打不倒的小强：John遇到很多挫折，但也保持积极心态。可以看出两个句子间构成转折关系，所以英文表述中要添加个连词。

正确修改

Although John has a lot of troubles in his life, he remains positive.

还有一个常见的语法错误，很多同学用however这个副词当作连词使用连接上下句。这个问题是对词性把握不准。我们来看个具体例子：

错误示范

Some people think that pets make too much noise and disturb the neighbor, however others consider keeping pets a good way to kill the time.

However作为副词，只能表达语气，不能改变句子原有结构;而连词才可以连接句子，起到连贯效果。

正确修改

Some people think that pets make too much noise and disturb the neighbor;however, others consider keeping pets a good way to kill the time.

Some people think that pets make too much noise and disturb the neighbor, while others consider keeping pets a good way to kill the time.

3、一个句子两个谓语

中文句子分割是按照语意，只要意思没有传达完毕，就一句连一句写下来，直至内容说完。但是英文按照结构划分，只要句子有完整的主谓结构，就要独立成句。如果没有搞清中英文表达的差异，直译中文，就会出现语法错误。

错误示范

There are many students go abroad.

想要表达的中文是「有许多学生出国留学」，中文意思没有问题，但“有”这个词在中文中是语气助词，直译对应英文「there are」, go和be就是两套动词体系。

正确修改

There are many student. They go abroad.

There are many students going abroad.

There are many students who go abroad.

4、一个句子两个主语

该语法错误跟上一语法错误类似，都是在于直译中文，没有区分中英文表达方式的不同，导致添加不必要的成分。

错误示范

My friend, Lily, she is a smart girl.

My friend和lily间为同位语，均为独立名词，而she也是独立名词，所以该句多了一个主语。

正确修改

My friend, lily, is a smart girl.
